Blog Update for 2026

   When I originally started this blog in early 2023, it was a place for me to journal my trial-and-error entry into 18th century clothing. In large part, it has been for me--a way to document what I did for future reference and to have a place to look back and see how far I've come.  As time has gone on, I have found myself pursuing more complex projects outside of the realm of the 18th century. Instagram is my primary place to post what I sew, but it is a fickle forum, and I found that anything really meaningful I shared there was both not getting seen and once seen, not interacted with by my followers. Instagram as social media has brought me into connection with lots of fantastic people and provided so much inspiration. However, I am starting to feel as though the algorithm wants to keep its users in a box. The further I get into my 30s, the more I desire to stretch myself and try new things.
